Q: Do I need a reservation?

Reservations are highly recommended and required for the Chef's Tasting. Walk-ins are welcome for lunch and dinner based on availability, but we encourage booking ahead, especially if you're travelling from Edmonton, Barrhead or Westlock.

Q: Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

Yes. We work with vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and other dietary needs. Let us know about allergies or restrictions when you book.

Q: Are children welcome?

Yes. There is no separate children's menu, but the chef is happy to adapt portions or dishes for younger guests.

Q: What is the maximum party size?

You can book online for up to 12 guests; a deposit applies from 9. For 20 to 35 guests the whole dining room can be yours. For 13 to 19 guests, call 780-887-4310. For more than 35, we cater at your home or venue.

Q: Is parking available?

Yes, free on-site parking, with an accessible ramp at the back entrance. Gems is about an hour from Edmonton, 30 minutes from Barrhead and 40 minutes from Westlock.

Do I need a reservation?

For Friday Nights, Lunch, and Dinner at Gems, walk-ins are welcome based on availability, but we encourage booking ahead — especially if you're traveling from Edmonton, Barrhead, or Westlock.

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

Absolutely. We work with vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and other dietary needs. Please inform us of any allergies or restrictions when making your reservation, and our chef will create a personalized menu for you. We take dietary requirements seriously and ensure every guest has an exceptional dining experience.

Are children welcome?

Yes, children are welcome at Gems. While we don't have a separate children's menu, our chef is happy to accommodate younger palates with modified portions or simplified dishes.

What is your cancellation policy?

We kindly request 24 to 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or modify your reservation. This helps us better serve all our guests and manage our kitchen preparations, especially for special experiences.

What is the maximum party size?

Tables of up to 8 guests can be booked online. For 9 or more, call us at 780-887-4310. You can also reserve the entire restaurant for lunch or dinner (up to 35 guests) under Group Bookings, including on days we’re normally closed. For more than 35, we cater at your home or venue.

How do I add special touches for birthdays or anniversaries?

We love celebrating special occasions! When booking, let us know if you're celebrating a birthday, anniversary, or other milestone. We can arrange personalized desserts, special table settings, and other touches to make your celebration memorable.

Is parking available?

Yes, we have complimentary parking available on-site for all guests. We also have an accessible wheelchair ramp at the back entrance — please text or call in advance so we can ensure easy access. Gems is located in Fort Assiniboine, easily accessible from Edmonton (1 hour), Barrhead (30 minutes), Westlock (40 minutes), and throughout Woodlands County.
